Leigh Blaney

Make-Up Artist Scotland

Making you feel and look beautiful is my passion

About Leigh Blaney

I’ve always been a creative, artistic person. In my early career, I was a singer and dancer, but in 2008 I decided to hang up my dancing shoes and find something new. Make-up artistry felt like my calling. I’m trained professionally to the highest standard, with an HND in Make-up Artistry. I also have experience with MAC, Charles Fox in London and celebrity MUA Melissa Sophia.

What I love most about my job is seeing the effect it has on people. I can help others feel better by the smallest changes; bringing out what was always there, that sometimes we just can’t see in ourselves.

I specialise in bridal make-up, but I also work on editorials with fantastic Scottish creatives, magazines, and other publications. I design the makeup for theatre productions around Scotland.

You can find me at Pele Hairdressing in Glasgow City Centre, where I’m available for special occasion makeup. I’m proud to be an inclusive make-up artist, and I welcome trans clients and male clients too.

Some of my time is spent at Look Good Feel Better, a cancer care charity, helping to make women who’ve been affected by this horrible disease feel that wee bit better about themselves. For me, that’s what it’s all about.

Make-up isn’t just about looking pretty; it’s about empowering people to be exactly who they want to be. That’s my real passion.
